The following file is a patch file for IDM 6.40 build 11. This Patch is only used when updating the application from version 6.39 to version 6.40. Download and install the IDM Patch file when you have already installed the IDM 6.40 build 11. Now you can upgrade to IDM 6.40 build 11.

I was having the same problem, and found a working solution.
I think the error is that the Name of the file was downloaded instead of the file itself.
I use the internet download manager 6.34.
I changed the Name of the file to a new file name and it worked fine.
eg:
Name - (something.exe)
For save file to
Save file to - (saved.exe)
and it worked.
I have no experience with this but it seems to be working.
Attached is a draft of NGI's filing with FERC (or at least the
attachment to NGI's filing) in support of the standard marketer's
transmission rights tariff. I have yet to talk to Mary about how she
wants to handle the creditworthiness issue, so this draft is very generic.
Mary, how do you want to handle the creditworthiness? If it is an issue
that we want to preserve in some form in the standard marketer's tariff,
how does the final filing treat the issue? I would appreciate your thoughts
as I head into a call to Kevin Presto to discuss today's deadline.
